Jami Garfinkel

Engagement Associate

Jami (she/her) is a University of Colorado Boulder graduate who studied both sociology and leadership and community engagement. She is very passionate about social justice issues, art, and Judaism. In her free time, she can be found binge-watching TV shows, doing yoga, and frollicking with friends. She did not get involved in Hillel until her senior year after her Birthright Israel experience, but she is so glad that she did. Within Hillel, she found a place where she was able to fully explore her Jewish identity and be herself around members of the Jewish community community. She wants to help provide that space for every Jewish student on Northwestern's campus. Go 'Cats!

Northwestern Hillel is an initiative of the Jewish United Fund, supported by Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Northwestern Hillel is a member of the Jewish Leadership Circle (JLC), which recognizes Jewish institutions for their commitments to support alternatives to factory farming — a root cause of injustice for humans, animals, and the environment. Our Hillel was awarded membership for committing to reduce the volume of animal products we serve by at least 20 percent.
